#89 Gone

I took my sweet time with this one. It was supposed to be just another training, but I have never been a patient person. The idea was so cute that I just had to give my all on it.

Too bad my all is still so little.

I have a giant problem with overcomplicating designs on my pixels. I literaly try to pixel every every minor detail, even every hairstrand. People don't do that on noral fanarts, but somehow I feel like I have to do it with only few hundret pixels...

As you can (hopefully) see, this piece is supposed to be, slightly sided. I tried using this round lines, but it didn't help too much.

The shape of the face is so important. If you make it more round (like above) with combination of big eyes (or eye), the character will look like a baby.

Keeping it slim, will just make it look like a chibi. Also, sudden color hair change!

Yep, this hairstyle is mostly copied from Ide's pixels. I have mixed feeling about this. On one hand, it's ok to practice something, right? It's how peopleget their “art styles”. But at the same time, I would to make something absolutely unique for my every pixel... maybe it's just not realistic, the same as perfectly reproducing designs.

Raw base for the face.

Just a few lighter accents, my beloved light line and shades on ears and near the hear.

This is what really helped me to “see” the ball, the clear light/dark line.

Now, one of the worst part of this pixel. The Rat ears... round objects drawn at an angle are the awful. To give you some perspective: script that I'm using is saving progress every 7 changes. It took 83 to get from this screen to the moment they were finished.

I still don't think I made them perfectly, but man I had no idea how to make them look better.

The rest of the body had a multitude of different forms and sizes. In the end this idea just looked cute in my head.

It was such a struggle to make the hands follow the perspective. I only knew that the right one must be smaller than the right one, and that was the end of my artistic analysys.

I still don't know if making them comepletly straight was the correct choice, but they looked weird too me otherwise.

It's a weird one, a acombination of 3 different ideas and one hell of a mess that was the creative process.

Once I even literally woke up in the middle of the night with “I GOT THIS”, and started pixeling (if you are curious, that's how I got the idea for the pose). This is the end of the "Bat training" arc (for now!). I really need to get better before trying again.

That's all, apologies for inconcistant posts, I'll try to work more often.

Thank you for reading, bai
