#56 Is yet to come
Henlo!
You didn't expect to see me so soon, didn't ya?
The new face you see over the title is our new companion: Ide.
She is here to help me with a giant, but silly problem. I don't have anyone to draw, who I don't love and respect. Whenever I why trying something new, I felt like I'm doing injustice to the amazing design, and personality, of that person. The previous post is the best example.
So I decided, that I need someone new, without the baggage of resembling someone else. Someone who is no one (yet!).
That's the meaning of her name, btw. I don't expect anyone to get why. It's a double pun only a twisted mind like mine could think of, so don't worry about it.
Ides design is purposefully simple, and most likely will change, from piece to piece. She is here to help me train, after all. I hope she will be able to present her in a million different styles, techniques, cloths and poses!
If you are struggling at your path too, maybe some change can be beneficial. A little detour from the usual hardship might give you a new perspective, even teach you something. Why not try?

I had a design like this in mind. Not entirely, but I loved the idea of very green, almost white hair, with colorful (citrus coded) stripes in them. I'm still not sold on the exact tone, but that's the beauty of this idea, I can try everything. And learn something with each try.

Different color eyes were also planned from the very beginning. I think they look neat and a little unsettling, exactly how I wanted her to look.

I experimented with both, different eye shapes and lash colors, having this much agency over a character design, is both exciting and scary.

Tried to make eyes a little asymmetrical, I feel like I always make them the same.

In the end, they look almost the same, another thing to practice. The decision to make the eyelashes the same color as the eyes, was definitely the correct one.

Haircut time! Short hair is my personal preference, but I don't rule out the option to pixel her with long one too.

Lines to establish some hairstyle, and of course, ever-present light line! Also, from a person named @mieatra on Twitter, I learned that you can auto outline, using Shift + o! You should check them out!

Like I said, even the shading is minimal. I wanted her to be as "pure" as possible.

Last changes. Somehow, I like her. It's weird, I very rarely like my creations. Maybe because she is not a poor imitation, but her own self? That's a little too romantic for my taste...
Anyway, it's getting late. Thank you so much for reading! I don't know what will come out of this... but that's ok, I guess. Not everything has to be under control, and nothing will ever be perfect. But we try again!
Until next time! Baya!
