#77 Dangerous
I'M SORRY, IDE, FOR FORGETTING YOUR STRIPES. HOW CAN I FORGET A MAJOR PART OF THE CHARACTER I DESIGNED? WAAAAAA
It was my first time ever even attempting a profile like that. Two years ago I would immediately dismiss an idea as completely unrealistic and crazy! ME?? TRYING TO MAKE SOMETHING SO REALISTICALLY HUMAN???
And yet, somehow here I am. Failing at it. And it feels good. I tried. I failed. I learned. Maybe the next one will not be better. Possibly it will take another hundred tries. But I'm one closer. We all have only one life anyway, it's worth a shot.

So, I am absolutely aware that I'm supposed to draw some lines and circles here, to set up proportions and so on... but I was never good at listening. Just tried to copy what I saw in a reference I found... just the usual Citrus stuff.

Ok, this is terrifying... I had to take a short break here, just to convince myself to try some more, because after seeing this, I was soooo ready to quit on the spot.

In the end, I decided that the correct line art is the most important part here.

Switched to a bigger canvas, as always, my planning skills are immaculate.

I won't show it here, but I redid the back hair part like hundreds of times. It was so difficult to give them the right shape.

Ok, that's our colored sketch. Time to get to work with the details.

First, remove any jagged and doubled lines.

The eye is always the most fun part of the character. It's insane how similar our human eyes are to one another, but somehow our brain can treat almost any colorful shape with a little white around as an eye. I want to see how crazy I can go.

Smoothing out the edges. I went kind of crazy with antialiasing on this one. It was just so satisfying.

In the end, I decided that the light should be straight up front. No matter which direction I would have chosen, it was incredibly hard for me to do anyway.

I really need to find a way to make better hair. I like the double lines on the front part tho, I should keep those.
That's it. Not amazing, but I'm happy I did finish it. Ide also turned out pretty cute... even if I forgot her hair strips... seriously, sometimes I amaze even myself, and I'm me!
There is also one special thing about this one...
Ok, enough BAI BAI
