#67.2 Sold Out

Yea, some last-minute changes happen, and you can definitely see it. But I think it's ok, overall. I think it's my first time doing (almost) full body + background, and I really like it. They can really complement each other.

I also have this weird feeling in me... like hope? Rather delusion, but still something. That maybe, one day, if I keep going... I will be able to do something good-looking.

This might sound silly, but up to this point my only thought was to reach the "not absolutely eye-ruining" level. I don't know if we are here yet, but we can try.

Just this mindset, that I have to try again and again and again, is kindaaaaaa, idk? Soothing? Calming?

After all, my mission is not to show my greatness but to share my weakness. And it seems possible.

Having people cheering on me is also so crazy...

At the same time, I don't want to disappoint them. I really desire to give to people. Either by doing pixels for them, sharing my story, or just saying that they are doing great, despite it not being the best time of their lives.

Many are stronger than one, right?

That's how the planning of the background started. I knew I wanted to make Maki (the girl in the foreground) be on the higher elevation road, with something below, to imitate the mountains feeling.

For the love of everything that is dear to you, please use layers! EVERYWHERE! They make the whole process so much easier and smoother, everything can be placed wherever you want, without colliding with anything else. You can test, you can try, you can sketch.

Because of the different method I'm using now, I can show you whatever you want on the pixel, so I will try to capture the places that are changing, and the Preview will always have the full pixel for reference.

So that's how I made rocks. Shadne from the one side, lighter part in the middle.

And the shiny part on top of the gray, lighter segment. Also, having the black outline to then change it is also incredibly handy.

Grass... scary.

Yep, I just made a few shapes and copied them, with minimal modifications.

And it looks good enough for the time I had.

The angles are all over the place. I don't know if the field should be more vertical or horizontal or the same as the road?

Both the field and the grass below are made once again by copying and pasting. It might be cheap, but it saves a lot of time and nerves. I'm not really happy with the field, tho.

If I hadn't put off pixeling this for so long, I might have been able to make it a little bit better, but ugh. We do what we can, right?

Don't be too harsh on yourself if you can't realize some plan of yours. Sometimes you just can't, and we have to live with that.

But don't stop dreaming. Plan, hope, and fight. Live while you can, the best that you can.

Thank you for still being on this journey with me, I believe in you!

See ya!
