#41 Ice in the hole

Hi. It's been a rough week for some, for others a rough month or even a rough year. You might be one of those people, you might even not see it. But no matter how much of a failure it has been, remember that you also deserve to be happy. Never stop trying to reach that.

Another ice practice, yey! Even worse than the previous one, YEY! But to be honest, this time it went faster, even tho I'm using higher resolution.

I had such a hard time with colors on this one. It's such a hussle, one tone looks just fine, you put the next one and BAM! nothing matches, and even the previously good one somehow does work at all.

This time I went with "wall by wall" method. It has some advantages, for example, it was easy to make a pattern on every simple one of them. But on the other hand, I feel like they all look disconnected from each other.

General rule is: place color (dark of afar, light is close), place some patterns to make it look more interesting. That's all.

Much darker spots in the corners add a cool depth effect.

Another wall, it should be a little lighter than a base, but not as light as the top.

You don't have to stick to the "cube shape" perfectly. Adding some layers that connect the two walls give effect of fluidity and makes it look more natural.

Yea, another color change. It's not like I changed half of the pallet 5 minutes before the end.

Now every wall is on its place, it's important to remember where they are placed to not lose part of them and make the cube look too irregular.

The lighter parts on the top makes it clear where is the lighting focused.

Final color change and piece.

I have a lot of things that I would rather not do on my head right now, so it was kinda hard to find time and energy to make this. But fighting for your dreams is always worth additional struggle. We spent way too much time on fights that we don't put our hearths in. Do what you love, you got not time for anything else.

Anyway, as always, thank you for reading and if I could get myself together to work, you also can!
